Secret codes for Motorola W375. Motorola W375 cell phone review: Memory replenishment, file operations

A shelf of budget devices from Motorola has arrived - meet the W375 clamshell. Unprepossessing in appearance, it is still interesting because it has a built-in radio and a stereo headset included. A special feature of the handset is external icons that replace the additional screen: without opening the “book”, you know about missed calls, unread SMS and the “death” of the battery.

Appearance

Size: 97x45x18.6 mm Weight: 88 g.

Although the hit RAZR V3 is partly noticeable in the design of the new product, these are more likely the general tendencies of the manufacturer rather than an attempt to evoke associations with the “Razor” among consumers. In addition, we have already seen such a typical American design in the W220. In essence, the W735 is the same “book”, but with a camera.

The case material is hard matte plastic, pleasant to the touch, which also does not slip in the hand at all, but smacks of cheapness. Note that the phone is pleasant to use - both when working with applications and when talking; Although the “book” doesn’t do a full split, the ergonomics are excellent. The body cannot be called thin by any stretch of the imagination, but nevertheless the handset can easily be worn in jeans or trousers, not to mention outerwear and bags.

The spring of the folding mechanism is quite tight, which makes opening the phone with one hand not very easy; much easier to close. Our copy made an unpleasant creaking sound when opened, but most likely this is a property of the pre-sale copy. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the build quality. I was pleased with the practicality of the case: there are no fingerprints on the case at all, and it is not particularly susceptible to scratches.

The back cover can be removed with a simple push-pull motion and secured in place in the reverse manner. Below it is the battery compartment, and even deeper, under the battery is a slot for a SIM card. The card is inserted and removed without problems. The battery fits in the compartment like a glove and does not fall out, even if you shake the device with the cover removed.

As for the colors, there are four of them. We got our hands on a silver version codenamed Lustrous Silver, but besides it there is also gray (Cannon Gray), orange (Mandarin Orange) and pink colors.

Main keyboard

The technology of the keyboard is similar to that of the W220: it is made on a single base of soft rubber, in which longitudinal and transverse grooves are pressed out, separating the buttons from each other. They are quite large, rectangular in shape, with a slight relief. The pressing, however, seemed a little tight to us; from long typing (several hundred characters) the fingers inevitably get tired. But the likelihood of incorrect presses is minimized due to the size of the buttons. The symbols are painted white on the surface of the keys and are perfectly readable; Cyrillic alphabet will definitely appear in commercial versions; Large buttons allow you to place it painlessly.

The control unit consists of a navigation button with an inscribed key, next to which we see, in addition to the indispensable soft keys and call and reset buttons, also browser keys and the “Messages” menu. The navigation button is made of plastic and is very convenient: firstly, it is quite wide, and secondly, the bumpy dots on it make it easier to work with. All other keys (including the "OK" button) are rubber, there are no complaints about them.

Soft buttons and “navigation” can be programmed for “quick functions”: this is available in the “Settings” - “Home screen” - “Home screen keys” menu. There are as many as 17 functions for this. Icons for the navigation button functions can be displayed on the display in standby mode.

The backlight is the traditional Motorola blue color and is very bright - allowing you to work comfortably in any lighting conditions. The call and reset buttons are traditionally illuminated - green and red. Its operating time is set in the menu "Settings" - "Basic settings" - "Backlight"; it could be 20,40 or 60 seconds.

Additional buttons

On the left side of the device we see a volume rocker made of soft rubber. Apart from volume control, it has no other functions, and as for working with the key, it cannot be called comfortable: it is inconvenient, for example, to press the top position of the “rocker”. When there is an incoming call, pressing the button while the phone is closed turns off the ringtone (the call itself continues).

For its class, the display is quite good, with good color rendition, although grain can, in principle, be seen with the naked eye. It is curious that even at the maximum vertical viewing angle, colors are displayed quite correctly, but the horizontal angle is much smaller: more often it is the other way around. To design the interface, background images, a greeting, and a splash screen are available - all this is implemented as standard. In addition, you can adjust the color scheme of the screen (there are 6 colors).

On the front panel, under the glossy insert (which only gets dirty), there are three LED indicators: call (illuminated in green), message (blue) and battery charge (red). The first two are displayed blinking, and the third “shines” continuously (it can, however, blink - indicating that the battery is low). As you can see, the indicators easily migrated to the W375 from the W220.

Camera

640x480 pixels (0.3 MP, VGA), ZOOMx4.

The camera is located on the front panel of the device in the upper part, but shooting is possible only when the device is open. The camera is launched either from the "Multimedia" menu or by the assigned "quick" function. Upon startup, we are displeased to discover that the viewfinder makes up only 2/3 of the screen surface, and the lower part is occupied by the memory counter (it is given as a percentage - not the most convenient option), as well as the zoom and brightness icons. The zoom is 4x, smooth, but slow. Adjustment of approaching/removing is carried out by vertical positions of the navigation button, and its horizontal positions change the light sensitivity of the matrix (6 levels).

The settings menu is called up with the "OK" button, from which you can go to pictures, turn on the auto-timer (its duration is 5 seconds), view the memory status and adjust the picture settings. They are what interests us. By calling the corresponding item, we get to the settings menu, where the following are available:

  • Lighting conditions (automatic, sunny, cloudy, home, office, night)
  • Effects (color inversion, grayscale, frost, warmth, sunset, sepia, embossing, contrast and three colors - red, green and blue)
  • Shutter speed (-2 to +2)
  • Image size (640×480, 320×240 and for MMS - 160×120)
  • Shutter sound (silent, chimpanzee, duck, film, slingshot, click)
  • Image quality (good, best, best)
  • Flicker (50 Hz or 60 Hz)

Unfortunately, there is no video footage. The pictures taken can be sent as a message and added to calls. After the photo is taken, you are asked to define storage options: send it in a message, simply save it, make it a background, a screensaver, or a ring image. Using the right soft button you can delete the photo you just took.

The quality of the camera is on the verge of failure - the pictures can only be viewed on the phone screen. And “getting” them out of the handset is not a trivial matter; you either need to use the MMS service, or buy an additional cable and software and connect the Motorola to the computer.

Connectors, ports, slots

The manufacturer has placed all connectors at the bottom of the device. On the left side there is a miniUSB connector, where the charger is also connected, and on the right side there is a headset connector (2.5 mm round jack). All of them are equipped with rubber plugs (their color, as it seemed to us, stands out from the general range of the phone), which reliably protect their “wards” from extraneous influences. At the same time, they do not protrude beyond the body at all. The plugs are inserted and removed conveniently.

The plugs are comfortable and reliable

There is no infrared port or Bluetooth in the model.

Memory, file operations

Built-in - about 1.6 MB, flash card not supported

The total memory capacity of the phone is a little more than 1600 KB. There is no file manager as such; its functions are performed by the "Multimedia" menu. There are, however, few functions; the main one is to view the memory status, it is available in the “Pictures” / “Sounds” (“Multimedia”) and “Messages” - “Statistics” menus. In the second case, only free memory is displayed, and in the first, total memory is also displayed. If you select "Pictures" or "Sounds", the phone first offers two options: "Preloaded" and "Additional storage device". Selecting the first item and the line “Memory Status” in it, we see the phone’s memory WITHOUT taking into account photos - it is 1106 KB available to the user (and only 1131 KB). A separate block is provided for pictures from the camera - that same “additional” device with a capacity of 489 KB.

In “Pre-loaded” pictures, you can select both all and individual files (which can be deleted in this case), and when working with pictures, only their renaming and individual deletion are available. In general, you need to be careful with deleting: the phone does not ask for confirmation and deletes the file instantly. Content uploaded by the user is saved in the "Preloaded" folder.

Communication with other devices

In addition to voice and messages, the W375 “knows” such a way of communicating with the outside world as the mobile Internet. There is a WAP browser version 2.0, implemented as standard, and support for GPRS Class 8 (4+1). As we have already said, a mini-USB connector is used, you can connect to a PC and download ringtones and pictures to your phone; The cable, however, is not included in the package, but purchasing it is not a problem.

Menu

The main menu is a set of 9 icons that can be displayed as a list. All sub-items are displayed only as lists. When working with them, returning to the item above is done with the right soft button, and exiting to standby mode is done with the reset button. You can activate “quick” functions using the navigation positions and soft keys.

In the main menu, games are placed in separate items, and two items are occupied by settings: this is the “My Settings” menu (here you can configure the display presentation) and simply “Settings” (general phone settings). Note that the "OK" key calls up the "Functions" menu when working with applications, and in some cases, like the left soft button, is responsible for selection. In standby mode, it calls up the main menu.

Messages

W375 supports both SMS/EMS messages and MMS. When typing text, 5 lines with an average of 20 characters each fit on the screen at a time. Delivery confirmation works flawlessly; it is activated in the “Message settings” item. There is also auto-delete, which allows you to automatically get rid of SMS messages that are three, five, or seven days old. You can leave a maximum of 5, 10, 20, or an arbitrary number of messages. As for the signals, they are the same as for incoming calls plus a vibration alert. The maximum message length is 765 characters (if English is used).

When typing text, the "OK" button is responsible for the input mode and language - English, Russian, German and Ukrainian languages plus numeric and character formats are available here. In addition, iTAP predictive input technology is supported for English, Russian and German languages (set in the "Input Settings" menu). You can insert pictures, animations, sounds and templates into the text, of which there are 10 ("Thank you," "Where are you now?", etc.). There are a dozen templates for MMS ("Congratulations", "Don't be upset", etc.); the maximum MMS size is 100 KB (there are also 30 and 50 KB); The user sets their storage period himself. In the “Statistics” item you can view the degree to which the message bank is full, of which up to 100 can be stored on the phone, plus another 20 on the SIM card. We also note support for SMS chat.

Phonebook

You can save up to 100 cells in the phone’s memory and 200 on the SIM card. This is strange: we are used to the fact that the phone still “pulls” more than the card, and then, in much more modest models, the volume of the phone book is much larger : in W208, for example, there are 200 names, and in C168 there are generally 600. For each name, the subscriber name, group, up to 5 numbers (main, work, home, mobile, fax), pager, image, storage device and speed dial index are entered .

About 30 preset melodies plus two vibration alerts can be used as personal ringtones (there is also a silent mode). You can assign your own melody not only to a name, but also to a group, of which four are preset: “Business”, “Personal”, “General”, “Very Important” (you can also create your own). Contacts on the SIM card and on the phone are highlighted in two separate lines in the "Directory" - "Functions" menu ("OK" button). Plus, you can copy all data from the phone to the SIM card and vice versa. Entries are sorted alphabetically or numerically. There is also a search: while in the directory, you just need to enter the required letters on the keyboard and press “OK”.

You can put both a drawing and a photo on the call

“Recent calls” is included in a separate menu item: information about incoming and outgoing calls, time and cost of calls, as well as GPRS sessions is stored here. Missed calls are still counted as "Received" calls.

Entertainment

  • Games (Java: "Space", "Football", "Crazy". No 3D support)
  • MP3 player (no)
  • Radio (yes)
  • Video player (none)

Users were not offended by the games: there are three of them preinstalled. These are “Rebels” (a slow space shooter; the goal is to liberate your home planet), “Football” (an interesting option when you look at the field from above and see only the heads and shoulders of football players; the goal is to score 10 goals and win the match) and “Crazy” - A shootout in very rough terrain, the goal of the game is to destroy all enemy intelligence agents. Games are not deleted, but you can minimize them by pressing the right soft button. To return to the game, select “Resume” in its menu. A separate item in the “Games” menu includes sound settings: here you can either turn it off completely or adjust it in 6 levels.

You can also have some fun with the melody maker, which allows you to create simple compositions thanks to support for the internal i-Melody format. You can activate the application in the menu "Multimedia" - "Sounds" - "New i-Melody". Here it turns out that for successful work you need to know at least a little notation of notes, because there are no hints: C (do), D (re), E (mi), F (fa), G (sol), A (a), B (si). Notes are entered from the keyboard; There is also an increase in sound (sharps) and a change in duration. However, the resulting melodies, naturally, cannot be compared with polyphony, and they can only be composed so that there is something to occupy the time.

The radio is launched either from the main menu or by a designated “quick” function. Its interface is simple and clear: the current frequency is displayed in the center of the display, to the left of it is a volume scale (5 levels are available, but the volume reserve seemed too small to us), and in the bottom line there are 9 channels for saved stations; The phone can't store any more.

You can minimize the radio (in standby mode, the left soft button activates the speakerphone, and the right one returns you to the radio menu) and simultaneously work with other applications - write messages, view the to-do list, etc. But games are not compatible with radio; You won't be able to play and listen at the same time.

Applications

The Organizer (Office Tools menu) includes the tools the user needs. For example, a calendar - among its functions, we note the transition to the desired date and the ability to create new entries. There are many types of entries: these include meetings, anniversaries, appointments, birthdays, entertainment - right down to breakfast, lunch and dinner. What if you get invited to a dinner party? You can make a calendar entry for this occasion. In addition to the type of event, its name, beginning, duration and date are indicated, plus a reminder and a repeat signal. Automatic deletion of recording events is also available (after 1, 2, 4 or 8 weeks).

The stopwatch allows you to make up to 9 laps during operation; After the countdown ends, you can scroll through the circles using the horizontal positions of the navigation button.

An interesting application, familiar to us from previous models (in particular, the Motorola C168) is a flashlight. If you activate it, the display will glow with an even white light. Note that the effect is visible at a distance of no more than a meter, but within these limits it is quite real.

"Flashlight"

Sound

We have no complaints about the quality of the speech speaker: the volume margin and speech clarity are good. The polyphonic speaker is located on the rear side of the device at the bottom, and plays 32-tone polyphony at quite acceptable quality, but the volume is perhaps not enough. W375 supports MP3 ringtones and i-Melody. The vibration alert is not very strong, so there is a risk of missing a call or message if the phone is in silent mode somewhere in your pocket.

Working hours

With an average call duration of about 20 minutes per day, occasional use of entertainment applications and radio, a full battery charge lasts about 3 days; The user can safely count on this amount of work.

pros

  • Not a bad display
  • Practical body
  • Built-in FM radio

Minuses

  • Cheap plastic
  • Small phone book volume

Results

Motorola W35 is another budget solution from the American manufacturer. Not a bad option for the money, considering the built-in radio and stereo headset included. But, like all inexpensive devices, the new product is far from perfect. Suitable as a phone for schoolchildren and other “budget” people; the bright colors of the case are especially interesting.

Continuing the line of budget phones, Motorola released the W375 model. This is a folding bed that costs about 4,000 rubles. More proof of how appearances can be deceiving. In a good way, of course. A very decent design that is in no way associated with a budget phone. We recently tested the predecessor of the W220. We will recall its characteristics, but only for comparison.

Equipment. In a modest gray-black box with the inscription “Made for Russia” we found the same modest delivery kit, which, in addition to the handset itself and the charger, included only a stereo headset and a cable for synchronizing with a PC. And of course, instructions.

Oh, now I can’t remember a clamshell from Motorola that didn’t look like this:

Having drawn more air into our lungs, we begin the description once again. The front panel is black. There are, by the way, three more color options: silver, orange and pink. The surface is matte. The upper part (it becomes the upper part when open) of the lid and the place of its contact with the body are decorated with silver.

This color dominates the internal elements - the screen and keyboard. Also on the front panel we see a glossy black insert with status diodes that periodically light up, for example, when a new message has arrived. At the top of this insert there is a tiny lens of the built-in VGA camera, and at the bottom there is a developer label.

The back side is also black and also matte. There is only an insert with the model number and an embossed label. The battery compartment cover is easy to remove. It's almost too easy.

On the left side, the rubberized volume rocker and the connector for the USB cable and charger are almost invisible to the eye, but perfectly felt by the finger.

On the right side is a jack for a stereo headset.

You can open the phone with one thumb and close it with your index finger. That's the whole look. It would be more accurate to say “this ends the very presentable and stylish appearance of the phone,” because after opening you see the keyboard. However - about it in a separate paragraph.

So, . It seems that designers fundamentally do not pay attention to it and from model to model (especially if we are talking about a budget option) simply copy it from some sample. And the example is this: there is a keyboard on a silver panel (the color sometimes varies, but not often).

The keyboard is absolutely flat, only the dividing partitions between the buttons and the number “5” protrude. The keys are quite wide, but working with them is still not as convenient as it could be. Turquoise backlight. Everything is clearly visible in the dark.

There is no space between the navigator and the main keyboard. Everything is tight. The navigator is five-position, round. Four LED dots are visible on the black circle. Soft buttons on both sides are also indicated by dots. Just below, symmetrically to each other, there are keys for quick access to the Internet and Messages. A reasonable question immediately arises - why then program the right soft button for Messages? In the bottom row are call buttons.

The “Recent Calls” item is initially assigned to the bottom guide of the navigator, and “Games” is assigned to the top one. On the left is “Office Tools”, and on the right is “Settings”. The keys are quite tight. When pressed, a click is heard. Working with a rocker is also not easy. But with its help you can very quickly change the sound alert mode - from maximum volume to vibration or silent option. Versatility and speed are always very pleasing.

Overall, the keyboard gives the opposite impression to its appearance. It looks more like a toy.

Screen. It should be noted that the W375 screen is certainly more advanced than, say, the screen of the W220 we recently tested. But of course he is still far from reaching a rating of 5 points. The technical characteristics are as follows: TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 and displaying up to 65 K colors.

Subjective feelings: the screen is too small.

Moreover, there is enough space on the lid. The developers could have solved this problem quite simply - make the edge of the display not black, but the same silver, then the eye would not rest on the black “walls”.

Look at the screen on the left - and everything would be fine, but you just need to set the minimum viewing angle on the right and instead of the picture, a negative image instantly appears. Sunlight is also a problem. Needless to say, how your photos will look on the screen. Although there are no complaints about the color scheme and brightness, graininess is noticeable.

However, they forgot. This is a state employee. And among public sector employees, such a display can be a “star”.

Dimensions and weight. 99 x 45 x 18.6 mm - dimensions are similar to the characteristics of the W220, but the weight is 5 grams less - 88 grams. The tube is really light. And since the center of gravity is in the lower part of the body, the folded lid does not overweight. The tube is not wide at all - that’s why it’s convenient for anyone, even the smallest hand, to grasp it.

Sound. The developer installed 35 melodies in the phone's memory. Motorola handsets have always had a wide range of products. Plus, it is possible to download a melody via WAP or PC or create your own in the iMelody editor. It turns out simple, but unique. Regarding the sound quality. It's good, of course, that the device supports MP3 melodies, but you still feel some harshness in the sound. It's like all the notes are a little too high.

Battery. The 3.7 V lithium-ion battery will provide you with a charge for 4-5 days maximum. You shouldn't expect more from her. Moreover, the phone has a radio and a camera. And these options tend to subtly erode energy reserves.

Menu Motorola W375 consists of 9 points and does not contain any surprises. Everything is classic. There are 5 subscriber groups specified in the Directory. Here they are called categories. Recent Calls records all received, missed, and outgoing calls, as well as the amount of information transferred. Messages stores a total of 10 templates for SMS and 10 for MMS. The phone's memory can store up to 100 messages. Another thing is that the SIM card is limited to only 30. In general, writing messages is convenient.

"Office Tools" include a calculator (visually designed), menu changes, an alarm clock (a melody, time, alarm volume and name are simultaneously created), a stopwatch (you start it, and if you need intermediate parameters, click “snapshot” and a pop-up appears above the running numbers). a line of numbers 12345...and so on until 9. Move the cursor to the desired circle, and the desired value is displayed). Calendar without features. Conveniently, by stopping at a certain number and pressing #, you can scroll through it by month.

Flashlight. We have already written about this miracle of scientific thought in our review of the Motorola W220. The flashlight here is not the usual diode embedded somewhere in the end of the device, but simply a blank screen. It is clear that the power is only enough to illuminate a keyhole, and even then its own, that is, painfully familiar one.

Games. Football, Space, Crazy. Here's the entire arsenal.

Playing football, for example, is hard. When viewed from above, the ball and the football player's head look almost identical. May the connoisseurs of this sport forgive me. Space. Tip - when playing, try to keep the phone in one position. It’s just that the black background of the “sky” quickly turns white when you turn the handset and it’s distracting. It's a shame that the navigator's confirmation key doesn't work at this point. And out of habit, the fingers press it.

A separate item is the installation of sounds in games. We will not dwell on this in detail. In our opinion, the games are not particularly interesting.

In the Multimedia item you will find downloaded pictures, sounds, camera and FM radio.

Radio. Let's talk about headphones. We don’t know what kind of ears we need to have so that the headphones fit into them and don’t fall out. Probably gigantic. At least the women's ones do not fit any criteria.

During testing, I had to hold the headphones with my hands.

Minimum volume is also a separate issue. It’s hard to call it minimal. Maybe, of course, my ear is too sensitive, but it was uneasy - it was a little loud. I didn't even dare to turn up the volume. The conclusion is this: the minimum volume will become the same when the speakerphone is turned on. The convenience is that you can adjust this very volume using the rocker on the case, as well as the upper and lower guides of the navigator. A long press on the button on the headset returns the screen to standby mode, and closing and then opening the phone does the same. To enter the radio item, you need to press the right soft button. The frequency search can be set automatically, or you can do everything yourself. Pressing the right navigator button moves you forward 0.05 MHz. A long press on it also searches for an available frequency. If the signal is clear, this is indicated by the icon at the top of the screen. It is very easy to save the found frequency - you just need to long press one of the 9 digits. In this case, this number will automatically be highlighted in yellow on the list of frequencies.

Of course, when the radio is on, you need to be careful with your body movements. The antenna is too sensitive and it is very easy to cause indignation in the form of spikes and noise.

When the camera is activated, the radio automatically turns off and turns on a few seconds after exiting viewfinder mode.

So, the camera. 4x magnification, the ability to slightly adjust the illumination, shutter speed, flickering, resolution, the use of special effects (inversion, contrast, shades of gray, frost, heat, sunset, sepia, embossing, three shades of different colors) - all this arsenal still won’t allow you take a more or less decent photo. Unless it’s just something special and funny with the help of special effects. Then, of course, the quality and resolution of the picture do not play such an important role.

There is no thought given to saving the photographs taken. We tried for a long time to find the photo. There is no button to activate the camera from the body in this model, just as there is no quick activation of the radio.

The last menu items are My Settings and Settings itself, where many things are duplicated, for example, a flashlight.

Synchronization with PC carried out using a miniUSB cable.

Ergonomics. In short, the positive side is the wide keys, ease of opening the handset, the ability to set the volume, vibration alert and silent mode using one key.

Disadvantages - the case gets dirty quickly, the lack of quick activation keys for the camera and radio on the case, and uncomfortable headphones.

Final word

Compared to the W220, the Motorola W375 may be superior, but not in everything. For example, it is about $50 more expensive and has a very modest phone book memory - 100 numbers. The screen, of course, is slightly better than in the W220. Overall the pipe makes a good impression, especially when you keep in mind its price.

In appearance it looks quite like a fashion phone. It will be bought by thrifty people who do not like to overpay for bells and whistles, but value their image, which should not be spoiled by an unsightly mobile phone. Less neutral color options, such as orange and pink, will probably appeal to girls. Black and silver version - for men. Earrings for all sisters.

“Office Tools” include a calculator (visually designed), changing the menu, an alarm clock (a melody, time, alarm volume and name are simultaneously created), a stopwatch (you start it, and if you need intermediate parameters, click “snapshot” and a a line of numbers 12345...and so on until 9.

The conclusion is this: the minimum volume will be the same when the speakerphone is turned on. Disadvantages: the case gets dirty quickly, the lack of quick activation keys for the camera and radio on the case, and uncomfortable headphones.

Main technical characteristics of Motorola W375

Photo of the caller instead of standard pictures
Published: WR, Enabled: Feb-01-2004

Caller's photo
For a long time I was racking my brain on how to put his photo on the caller. My core fan kept bothering me, saying that on his Siemens M55 this can be easily done without much effort (what a bastard). And then the thought came to my mind: “What if I uploaded a picture to my phone with the same name, which is in the icons that can be assigned to the caller?” I immediately went to the telephone directory menu to see what these standard icons were called, because I thought that the name of the icon should not differ from the name of the file in which it is stored. Seeing all the names in Russian, I was disappointed and thought that I would have to sit with a translator for a long time, choosing the right name for each one. First of all, I tried to upload a picture called boss.gif to my phone. And oh yes!!! Happened!!! Instead of some suit and tie, my picture was proudly displayed on the screen. I started to think about choosing English file names, but it dawned on me. What am I doing? Everything is already on your phone! You just need to switch to English. Everything worked out, instead of standard icons, I uploaded photos of my friends and my girlfriend. The size of standard icons is 32*32, the maximum size of the photo that I uploaded to the phone is 65*65. I haven’t tried it again and I don’t recommend it, even less is better, since the large picture obscures the caller’s name.

Own melody when you turn the phone on and off.

In order for your own melody to play when you turn your phone on and off, you need to upload your own melodies to the phone with the name ~*****File034.mid ~*****File029.mid, respectively. I do not recommend uploading a melody longer than 10 seconds.

The picture when you turn on the phone instead of the inscription “Searching for network”.

Upload any picture or animation called “custwakeup” to your phone. Then we launch the MSS 3.2.3 program. Select the Other functions tab, check the box next to “Activate Wakeup graphics” and click “Activate selected features”. Then we restart the phone by clicking on “Restart the phone”.

So: how to break a password (for example, you turn on someone else’s phone, and it displays Loc"d and the standard password “123” does not work):

Turn on the phone
-We see Loc"d
-press (FNC)-00**83786633-(STO)-# (entering service mode) - in the end you should see US" -press 55# - these are user parameters settings -press several times * until you see 7 blinking in turn and 000000, zeros are the system code that must be entered when changing the password “legally”
-press * again and see 8 flashing in turn (we don’t need it) and a three-digit number - the password that we need - now you can turn off the phone, and when you turn it on, dial the same three-digit code!!!

A general phone reset may be necessary, for example, when selling a phone:

Turn on the phone
- press (FNC)-00**83786633-(STO)-# (enter service mode) - in the end you should see US"
-press 32# (you need to wait until it beeps or reboots),
-all timers are reset, all phone books are reset, all settings are returned to their default state;
Your operator's settings will remain unchanged (the phone resets for about a minute)...

To launch the menu you need to quickly press the following buttons: Menu, 0, 4, 8, 2, 6, 3, *. The following message should appear on the screen: “Opcode:”. This is the service menu. We will use two commands: 32 - read, 47 - write!

BE CAREFUL WHEN USING COMMAND 47. IF YOU ARE WRONG, YOU CAN CHANGE AN UNKNOWN PHONE SETTING, WHICH CAN LEAD TO ANY CONSEQUENCES!!!

AND FURTHER! In the phone service menu, all numbers must be entered in the decimal system. And the phone shows you everything in hexadecimal notation (when using the read command).

All that remains is to look at the example. Let's enable the phone's engineering menu.
All information will be presented in this form:
Opcode 47 "OK"
Field 1 50 "OK"
Field 2 1 "OK"
Field 3 68 "OK"
Field 4 1 "OK"
Field 5 (D) 247 "OK"
Otkat: Field 5 (D) 135
Results
F1:0

Now let's see what this all means:

After entering the engineering menu, enter 47 - the write command, click OK.
Let's look at Field fields:
"Field 1" is the memory cell number.
"Field 2" is the entry number.
"Field 3" is the byte from which to start displaying the contents of the record.
"Field 4" is the number of bytes that need to be displayed on the phone screen, starting from the one we specified in "Field 3".
"Field 5" is the actual value of the bit being searched for.
Otkat is the value of the "Field 5" field that must be entered to cancel the changes.
"Results F1:0" - you will see if everything went without problems.
After introducing all this into the phone, we reboot it and see that a menu item has appeared in Office Tools - technology.

We use command 32 in the same way.

Updated (11/13/2004): How to find out the rollback value yourself.

To do this we use command 32.
Let's look at the example of enabling/disabling additional vibration alerts:
Opcode "47" "OK"
Field 1 "50" "OK"
Field 2 "1" "OK"
Field 3 "59" "OK"
Field 4 "1" "OK"
Field 5 (D) "252" "OK"
Results
F1:0

You have the above text, however the rollback value is not there. What to do?
We enter the same parameters into the phone, only with the read command:

Opcode "32" "OK"
Field 1 "50" "OK"
Field 2 "1" "OK"
Field 3 "59" "OK"
Field 4 "1" "OK"
After introduction we get:
F1:0
F2(D) : 8c

(You may have a different value instead of 8c)

As I already said, the phone displays all information in hexadecimal number system. We convert 8c to the decimal system: we get 140. This is the rollback value!

Note: in Windows OS, take a regular calculator, make it an engineering calculator, set it to “Hex” - 16-digit system, type what you see on the display, press “Dec” - you get a number in the decimal system. Here are the codes for activating/disabling some menu items and more:

Enabling the 2nd SIM card:

Questions about Motorola W375 secret codes

Ask a question about secret codes on Motorola W375

Appearance of Motorola W375.

However – about it in a separate paragraph.

So, keyboard Motorola W375.

A reasonable question immediately arises: why then program the right soft button for Messages?

The tube is not wide at all, which makes it easy for anyone, even the smallest hand, to grasp it.

The conclusion is this: the minimum volume will be the same when the speakerphone is turned on.

Disadvantages: the case gets dirty quickly, the lack of quick activation keys for the camera and radio on the case, and uncomfortable headphones.
